WFI BEGINS PRODUCTION ON SCRIPTED SERIES MALGRÉ MOI FOR RADIO-CANADA

Director Maxime Beauchamp joins WFI for the upcoming limited 4 x 1 hr comedy series Malgré Moi. Production began in Winnipeg on May 20th, bringing to life a script that’s been in development at Wookey for a number of years. Local sights and the franco-manitoban community itself will play a huge role in the show which aims to be something of a love letter to Winnipeg. Starring Schelby Jean-Baptiste, Eddy King, and local talents Micheline Marchildon, Stéphanie Morin-Robert, Mikael Conde, and Yves Lécuyer, Malgré Moi was born of a concept developed by Janelle and Jérémie and is written by Sophie Bienvenu and Edith Kabuya with Emanuelle Beaugrand-Champagne as Script Editor. The series is being Line Produced by WFI's own Katy Slimmon and will be edited by WFI's  Martin Lafrenière. The series is set to air on Radio-Canada nationally and be made available on tou.tv as soon as December 2025.
