SYNOPSIS

Our family recipes are full of flavours but also meaning. A sense of our roots and origins. The web series “À la sauce métisse” meets five Métis elders who, in their own way, pass on the preparation of a traditional dish to a young member of their family. From bannock to wood soup, from Duguay to Roy, each episode focuses on a family and their speciality. Packed with stories and questions, this web series offers a new look at the Métis culture by comparing and contrasting the past and present. Between two tablespoons of flour and a pinch of salt, the characters being a dialogue on who are the Métis of today.
