WOOKEY PRODUCES ARTIST VIGNETTES FOR APTN'S 2023 INDIGENOUS DAY LIVE BROADCAST

For the third year in a row, Wookey Films was fortunate enough to be a part of APTN’s Indigenous Day Live show, contributing 4 special features profiling young Indigenous artists and activits. Along with Manito Media, Animiki See and On Site Productions, Wookey Films lead production on a series of vignettes directed by collaborators, Pepper O'bomsawin, Geordie Trifa, and Wookey’s own Martin Lafrenière along with others.

Among those featured included Métis podcast host Barney Morin from Winnipeg, backcountry guide Bobbie Rose Coe from Nahanni River adventures in Whitehorse, a spoken word poetry piece by poet, activist, and educator Zoey Roy and a group of Mohawk students from Kahnawake who wrote the song They Fly, which was performed live during the IDL broadcast.

A huge maarsii goes out to everyone who contributed!
