SYNOPSIS

The wedding social is a foreign concept to anyone outside of Manitoba. But for Manitobans, it’s a cultural tradition for engaged couples in the months leading up to their wedding. An almost obligatory rite of passage, the social is a gathering between friends to generate money for the wedding.

The documentary “Le social manitobain” enters the world of the Manitoban social. What is it for? How do you succeed at a social? Three young Franco-Manitoban couples invite us behind the scenes to organize their social, from the “I do” to the evening of the party.
