SYNOPSIS

In the good old days, life was very different. “Jour de plaine” takes four golden-aged Manitoban ladies on a journey to the past. Paulette, Jeannette, Térèse et Florence take off from Winnipeg for a day trip to visit their hometowns. Each episode follows one of them, accompanied by the other three, to their birthplaces around rural Manitoba. Together, they rediscover the places of their childhoods and the memories hidden there. Bits of the past that seem unbelievable to the youth of today. This journey uncovers fresh anecdotes and surprising discoveries along the way. Through their laughter, spontaneity, and charisma as storytellers, these women show the contrast between the life of yesteryear and today. “Jour de plaine” gives way to a better understanding between generations.
