Project Overview

The Resilience project showcases 50 contemporary artworks by Indigenous women artists exhibited on billboards from coast to coast.

The project was produced by the Winnipeg-based artist-run centre, Mentoring Artists for Women’s Art (MAWA). Resilience is a creative response to Call to Action #79 of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Report: integration of "Indigenous history, heritage values, and memory practices into Canada’s national heritage and history."
